I’m Colin and I’ve been running now for roughly 6 years. I first took up running when I stupidly entered the Silverstone Half Marathon in 2013 to raise money for the Stroke Association. Since then, I have run countless Parkruns, 10k’s, 7 HM’s & 7 marathons and have continually taken time of my PBs through my hard work and dedication.
In April 2016 I thought it would be a good idea to run 4 marathons in 4 weekends. These were the Paris, Manchester, Brighton & London Marathons. I chose to do this not only to raise over £3,000 for some amazing charities, but also to prove that anything is possible if you want it enough. Throughout the 4 weeks I went through every emotion possible and my body took a battering.
My new focus is the Valencia Marathon in November 2016. Training started at the start of June following 6 weeks of recovery from a hip injury. My target is to get as close to 3 hours as I can and use this as a building block to gain GFA entry to the 2018 London Marathon.
